Shutter Island Movie Review In our society, almost all of us take a person only for face value. Rarely do we ever look past the actions of a person and actually consider their motives or mental state. This is most likely because doing so requires a lot of understanding and knowledge of the phenomena of the human mind. This is where Psychology and Psychiatry come into play. Through these fields of study we are able to expand our knowledge and understanding of the inner works of the human mind. It’s crazy if you think of it this way; but we just use our brains to study themselves, I mean what better way better way is there? Unfortunately, in this field of study this kind of logic has been taken to the extremes many times. In the past, psychological research ranged from simple personality tests to experiments in isolated institutions for the mentally unstable. Nowadays, it would be hard to find good examples of this but thanks to modern-day media we are able to see this extreme kind of research in full HD w ith his excellency, Leonardo DiCaprio, in Shutter Island. In Shutter Island, Leonardo DiCaprio plays the role of Teddy Daniels, an investigator and WWII veteran sent to a mental institution separated from the mainland. Teddy along with his partner Chuck Aule (played by Mark Ruffalo) are there to investigate the escape of a mental patient named Rachel Solando (played by Emily Mortimer/Patricia Clarkson). Psychological literature is rich in studies and researches on various eating disorders, such as anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa and binge eating disorder (Talleyrand, 2006). These psychological conditions cause grave concern among medical and psychological practitioners, and even laypersons, due to the mental and physical repercussions known to be associated with these eating disorders (Talleyrand, 2006). Some eating disorders received sufficient attention early, and thus there is already a substantial body of literature dedicated to them. In the first few chapters of ‘Pride and Prejudice’, Jane Austen portrays Fitzwilliam Darcy as: â€Å"so high and conceited†, â€Å"a most disagreeable man† and possessed of â€Å"shocking madness†. This is conveyed to the audience through Elizabeth Bennet’s eavesdropping and the Bennet family’s first impression of Darcy. At the start of ‘Macbeth’ however, the central character, Macbeth, is portrayed by William Shakespeare as a hero. That is the primary concern; they must decide how to spend that money and how they do it without upsetting the agencies surrounding the government because there may be one agency that may be getting more than another. My budget isnt that great, it is similar to the estimate of 2005, but some changes, however slight were made. My top priorities for the budget were the military, education, and health and human services. First the military, my primary cause for this would be for research, and a procurement of new weapons. We need the research because it would lead to have new and more efficient ways of producing weapons, transmissions, and development of something that would make the soldiers safer. The same goes for a procurement of weapons, added with a more efficient ways of ammo and more vehicles that provide more protection. Education, we hardly have any money set aside for education and most schools are not getting the money they deserve or need to make either teaching easier or keeping the schools in tip top shape. Plus, more would go on student loans and grants so we can get as many students we can into college. Health and Human services are important, not so much for social security or Medicare, in fact, I was thinking of downsizing those parts of that branch, but more on public assistance, the FD A, and the National Institute of Health.
